By telling human stories through performances and workshops, Articine integrates the arts and medicine to inspire healthcare providers to deliver more empathetic and effective patient care.

VISION

Our vision boldly imagines the universal delivery of empathetic and effective healthcare that embraces the arts to support healing and well-being for healthcare providers and their patients.

We ​are committed to the practice of supporting healthy lifestyles for all populations through arts-based workshops, performances and initiatives between medical professionals and artists that support the growing field of lifestyle and narrative medicine. Using arts-based learning objectives and evidence-based medicine, Articine will impact the wellbeing of people through customized experiences and innovative care solutions. 

The founders of Articine are international award-winning teaching and performing artists, Amanda Whitworth, MEd, and C. Robin Marcotte, MFA, as well as Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine physician, Bobby Kelly, MD, MPH, MSEd.  Amanda and Robin have been teaching and performing professionally for over 20 years.  Bobby is a nationally-recognized physician with a passion for patient care, systems change and public health.  ​

​Bobby Kelly, MD, MPH is a Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine trained physician who has worked in primary care, physician leadership and public health in New Hampshire over the last decade. After completing medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia where he received the Academy of Family Physicians award, he trained at the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency at Concord Hospital. Dr. Kelly completed his Leadership Preventive Medicine fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and received his MPH degree at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.  He is currently a primary care physician in the NH Seacoast area where he received the 2019 Exemplary Community Service award from Exeter Hospital, and is passionate about creative collaboration opportunities. 
​Amanda Whitworth, MEd is a teaching artist with an MEd in Integrated Arts Education, and leads and consults on interdisciplinary projects in technology, design, wellness, business, and public education. She is the current New Hampshire Artist Laureate as confirmed by the Governor's Executive Council. Originally from metro Detroit, she has lived in central New Hampshire since 2006. As the Director of Dance at Plymouth State University, Amanda has integrated interdisciplinary thinking and collaborative performance into the curriculum and spearheaded networks of growth, service and advocacy across New England through innovative cross-sector partnerships.  Named one of NH Union Leader's “40 Under 40” in 2019, and awarded a Vermiel Medal from the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters in Paris, France, Amanda assumes the alias of Lead with Arts, working as a performer of dance and physical theatre nationally and internationally.  www.leadwitharts.com
C. Robin Marcotte, MFA is a physical theatre artist and educator.  He is an Assistant Professor of Theater at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.  Robin has served as the Executive and Co-Artistic Director of the award-winning Hotel Obligado Physical Theatre Company and was a company member of Mum Puppettheatre, both located in Philadelphia. In his 20 years of working in the professional world, he has toured nationally and internationally, performing, teaching and creating works of theatre.  Robin has formal training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from UMass Medical School and is a certified Standardized Patient Educator. He holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College and is a graduate of the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. www.robinmarcotte.net
